This is the first post in the “Where to Watch” series. As I live in the US I will start here with an outline of tv services. In a future post I will cover online options.

If you want to see every game in the 2011 Six Nations live on a tv in the US there is only one service – Premium Sports. In bars they charge $20 at the door to see most premium games . You can use Premium Sport’s venue finder to locate a bar near you.

The Heineken Cup, Magner’s League and Guinness Premiership are split between Fox Soccer Plus ($14.99 per month) and foxsoccer.tv which is an extra $14.99 a month. FS+ are showing very little live rugby and have switched much of their Magner’s, Premiership and LV Cup live coverage to foxsoccer.tv. There is some inconsistency on a weekly basis and it is hard to predict what games warrant live coverage as it appears if they clash with soccer match the coverage will be deffered.

The rights for Super Rugby have been bought by Directv and it has been reported that all games will be shown on CH 490 but there is no official confirmation or cost structure.
